Some of the Naulu people are still making their living with what they get from the forest within their tribes territory: hunting with their dogs using bow and arrows, spearing fishes, harvesting sago, planting bananas and sweet-potatoes, picking fruits... I fallowed Buang -- a Naulu hunter -- in a few hunting trips... Naulu (Alifuru) = the name of a tribe which lives on Pulau Seram, a remote island in the East of the Indonesian Archipelago -

Kahula (first part of the video) and Cakalele - two dances of Naulu Tribe, performed by the youth of the community, as part of the ceremony which marks the beginning of their adulthood (of those with a feather attached to their scarf). The elders of the community are singing their legends while beating the drums, and the youth are dancing following their rhythm. Naulu Tribe is in Seram Island, in the Indonesian Archipelago. -

A Dayak ceremony for the celebration of rice harvesting and for opening new ladangs (clearings used for the cultivation of rice). The tribes' shamans are calling the ancestors' spirits and the gods which are governing their lands, in the South of Kalimantan, in order to give them thanks and offerings and to ask for protection. -

Sahur - the meal eaten by Muslims before the sunrise, during Ramadan. In South of Kalimantan, Indonesia, every day the kids and youth were waking up the neighborhud for sahur. You'll see why it's a "turbo sahur".
